• Why we use steel

  The Possum Man uses steel mesh because the system is intended for possum and rodent proofing. Plastic and aluminium guards can be damaged or shredded by animals, which is why we use steel for this application.

• Assessment before proofing

  We first assess whether the roof or gutter edge is relevant to the access problem before recommending Gutter Guard.

Gutter Guards are property-specific. Whether they are appropriate depends on whether a roof or gutter edge forms part of the identified access route and on safe access at the property.

   Your on-site inspection allows us to assess the relevant roof and gutter edges and determine whether Gutter Guard is appropriate. If Gutter Guard work is recommended, the installation is quoted following the inspection.

   Where suitable, purpose-designed steel Gutter Guard work is priced specifically for your property following the on-site assessment.

A Gutter Guard addresses a relevant roof or gutter edge access route as part of an overall possum or rodent proofing plan. It does not replace removal or proofing where these are required, and the property must still be assessed for other access routes. Leaf and debris reduction is a secondary benefit, not the primary purpose.
